Gettting Burn Stains Off An Iron

Back to Topic: Voigtlander Nokton 25mm F / 0.95

The pocket dragon is still not gone, but can he only has to endure a few measurements (nodal point, moiré and stuff) about yourself, and then he's fired. In the meantime I will have
of Edlef finally Nokton. Behind the lens, I am - as probably 50% of the PEN community - some time ago and at the Photokina booth I'm creeping around for some time at the showcase at Olympus. Now it is this morning at the E-P2 and kuckt off on it as if it had always been.

sunrise the next village - minus 13 degrees. The lens is glove fit in any case. The focus is set beautifully, sometimes you go faster than the manual AF - especially in difficult situations focus, backlight and all.
It is the Nokton been written about quite a lot. Therefore, only the usual short impression: hard, precise, solid, quality, milled out of a purchase for grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A lens from a different time.
And now we are watching again Images:

No, no barbed wire -. even if auskuckt's so. Aperture 0.95, so the rest of the bush, only a few centimeters is behind it, blurring the focus. Sure enough the depth of field then not even the length of the ice crystals - but you can not have it all. As usual here: all OOC.
As beautiful as the aperture gimmick is that in weather like today range is 1 / 4000 of the E-P2 are far from sufficient. Pretty fast considering you look at the purchase of a density filter. A ND0, 9 for 3 stops would be a fine thing ... However, it also benefits from the aperture and close to something: the depth of field is not even enough for a horse from the eye: the eyelashes are sharp, the lower lid is almost not been seen.

is the cat, as far as I recall, made with Blender 2: the nose is almost outrageously sharp I suspect you might have to find some time to find a lens that has the quality of the Nokton. Yes, of course, the picture is ton, because the bush in the background is a bit stupid - but neither the cat nor the horse on whose back she is sitting, have a model training and hold still is not one of the things that the two have been training. .. After all, we are talking about a manual lens with a paper-thin depth of field and only 25mm focal length ... (And yes, the horizon tilts, but the cat has fallen to me now even better than bent forward .... and oh yes OOC.)

That is - guess who it is - a string of lights, by Christmas is left. ideal as a demo for the Nokton's bokeh. Virtually no sharp edges, and therefore in spite of the corners of the panel a very harmonious, smooth bokeh. The lens is not corrected, very, very fine.

And finally, a small gadget with a Primelstöckchen, an LED flashlight, and the art filters "Cross Development" ...
