Vote Of Thanks Speech At A Wedding

E-PL2 and Panasonic 7-14

Yesterday I got from the Panasonic Edlef MFT made 7-14 available, and today I had the opportunity to run it to Alsace, Wissembourg. Occasion of the trip was a tour of the Olympus user meeting in the fall ausgekuckten hotels - the Schweigener court. Of course, in the hotel at an ultra-wide angle, I have also photographed busy - from the various dining rooms to the bowling alley - all on it. Here I show a stack of wine jelly, a specialty that it is here for breakfast - just like other people to use strawberry jam.

then then visit of Wissembourg in the evening light - Designs where hinkuckt, unfortunately the long telephoto not been at, but with the wide angle is of course one or the other:

The Pana requires 7-14 again getting used to because of the zoom ring goes the other way. Even if it looks like the gardening season, as far as we have seen, not yet open, but can only take a few days, the first flowers we saw on the trees. (And photographed, but with the E-5, so that has to do with what ....)

This is Little Venice in Wissembourg - because the volume is almost here, split into half a dozen arms and it actually permanently along on any bridges or on a creek about. For the photographer this means: Hold lens hood and lens cap ...

In Wissembourg course, there are several cafes, including one in which we have strengthened us with coffee, also has a very respectable battery taps - another's motive for 7-14. Is it time to test the minimum focusing distance. Get closer is not so.

And when the camera is then directed downward, it looks like this:

everything with each 7mm ...

that was not enough with the restaurant industry. Back in Germany we have the restaurant at the "German Wine Gate" visit - you kuckst - including the homely fire in the fireplace:

And on the terrace with stunning views:

to the "German Wine Gate" still a little story: the gate was built anno 1936, when the start the "German Wine Route (Pfalz)" and as the Americans were in 1945 just before the Rhine were overrun, here apparently a few underemployed Texans who immortalized here ...

The joke itself is really thin and probably there's like this already enough photos (I said found I not on Wikipedia or elsewhere in the network on the fly what) - interesting, however, that this photo made with 7mm was and I've seen in the uncorrected RAW comparison. And now my heart is then clear why the FT Zuiko 7-14 € 2,000 costs, and the Panasonic MFT 7-14 half. The lens has a very violent at 7mm barrel. The 14mm is very clean, optically corrected, but for the 7 mm, the lens fully extended to the digital equalization. Since the Zuiko, despite the higher weight and higher price, clearly the better solution.
