E-PL2 - 50mm macro
Because it's been the theme of an Oly forum about how the AF with the 50 macro to work, I heard it this time and I'm screwed on it gone off.
Ok, that was now for the AF no real power - I'm just thrilled that the grass has changed color and now is green again. aussenrum spite of the ice ...
In which I then found the problem was so bright lenses on the E-Pl2 for ISO 200 and aperture range 2.0 to 1 / 4000 just sometimes not. This is now done with Aperture 7.1. Common way the screen displays the image even at f / 2 for a short time great but he does illuminate then still too bright - he can not stop otherwise. Suggestion to Olympus for so noobs like me: a siren, the flashing forward to the hectic / 4000's attention to the display!.
And this time I was there on time that I have caught a ride in ICE. With the 50 macro. OK, he did not have 250 on it, but that there were already about a hundred. So go. Man must stop a bit Vorfokussieren so the Fokusweg is relatively short.
And tonight I then tried something completely absurd: the middle of the night, ISO auto, 50 Macro, and kept in the dark until a car came by, and lit up the posts. As you can see, has worked. Auto Focus! No focus event or something tricks. With one hand the camera to a sign post leaning and stabilized. What is striking here: the exposure of the camera does not detect lower exposure than 1EV. Although it was loosely minus 2EV, the camera refused to expose longer. The AF went - but the exposure has reached its limit. The same picture is the way I managed without a car. As you can see on the - brightened - RAW a cracking sharp street sign, on which all is read, the corresponding JPEG is against stockduster. The AF of the E-PL2 is already a stunner, but when it is really dark, you should stop exposure by hand ...
OK. There were also a few failed attempts. This one for example. These are two headlights of cars driving in the sought camera unfortunately in the wrong direction from the focus - and has found. The dust particles on the lens is fairly sharp .... Slightly cropped and increased the saturation, it looks a little funny .... And I've tried to focus on the pitch-black cemetery on a two hundred yards away eternal light with AF. That was also wrong - I did not really expected. A grave light in 20 feet away went the other hand ...
